Ghost is a character portrayed by Hannah John-Kamen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She first appeared in the film Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Her real name is Ava Starr, and she is the daughter of Elihas Starr, a former colleague of Hank Pym. Due to a quantum experiment accident caused by Elihas, Ava gained the ability to phase through solid objects, becoming intangible. However, this ability comes at a cost, causing her immense pain and instability at a molecular level.
S.H.I.E.L.D. recruited Ava and attempted to help her control her phasing abilities. She was also used as an assassin to neutralize targets.
In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Ava seeks to stabilize her condition using quantum energy from the Quantum Realm. This puts her in direct conflict with Ant-Man (Scott Lang), the Wasp (Hope van Dyne), and Hank Pym, who are also trying to access the Quantum Realm for their own purposes.
